Lisa Mezzacappa, Campus Programs Manager

Lisa Mezzacappa is a musician, composer, curator and arts organizer based in San Francisco. She was previously Communications Director at New Langton Arts, a multidisciplinary arts space in San Francisco. Since fall she 2006 has worked on campus-wide projects at Lively Arts in collaboration with SICA (Stanford Institute for Creativity and the Arts), including the Pan Asian Music Festival, the Public Theater Residency at Stanford, and a collaboration with the San Francisco Opera. As curator, she has also programmed music events at many spaces in the Bay Area and beyond, including the Headlands Center for the Arts, 21 Grand and the UCLA Hammer Museum. She has been artist-in-residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts (2006), the Banff International Jazz Workshop (2000), and Djerassi (2008), and holds an MA in ethnomusicology from UC Berkeley (2003), and a BA in music from the University of Virginia (1997).
